The Book of Assessment Rubrics for Soft Skills is published by the Student Affairs Division, UPM, and is one of the first publications in Malaysia that specifically focuses on the assessment of students' soft skills in the context of higher education and the transition to the workforce.

This book discusses several key elements of soft skills such as communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, lifelong learning & information management, entrepreneurship, ethics & professional values, as well as leadership.

In addition, this book also presents a "rubric assessment" guide that enables instructors or assessors to measure the level of mastery of each element of soft skills systematically and objectively, with the aim of allowing students to improve their weak aspects and develop their soft skills to a higher level.
